General Information

What is Baccalaureate?

Baccalaurate is a long standing tradition for White County High School students. It has been part of the graduation proceedings for nearly 100 years. Baccalaureate is a worship service that gives our community the opportunity to express our thanks to God for our graduates, and to encourage them as they begin a new stage of life. In short, the goal is to glorify God while honoring our graduates. All graduating seniors of White County High School are encouraged to take part in this service. All families, and community members are encouraged to attend as a blessing to our graduates.

Graduates, this service is for you! We are so thankful for you and we want to personally invite you to take part in this special time of worship and thankfulness. Here is everything you need to know:

Check-in for students is from 5:30 - 6:00 pm.

Please check-in at the entrance near the Aux Gym by 6:00pm. It will be important to arrive early, so that we can get you checked-in and get the evening organized. We will have a short rehearsal in the Aux Gym at 6:00pm with a time of refreshments to follow!

Rehearsal will be held at 6:00 pm in the AUX gym, with refreshments to follow.

Rehearsal will be a brief but important time. We will run through the schedule for the night, work on the candle-lit processional, and arrange our seating. Remember, part of this service is also to bless our graduates, so we will have refreshments for you as well.

What to Wear — Please wear your cap and gown as well as business casual attire.

All students will need to wear their cap and gown with business casual clothes underneath. A good rule of thumb is to dress as nice as possible while remaining comfortable.

We want to be a blessing to our Graduates! Each senior that participates will receive a substantial gift from the Ministerial Association of White County. WE LOVE WCHS SENIORS!
